Finding Your Yogic Strength

In yoga we learn strength in various forms – physically, mentally, spiritually. All key components in dealing with worldly experiences. Learn specific asana (postures), pranayama (breathing), meditation and the science and philosophy of yoga to gain practical tools and yogic techniques. Using these tools to gain strength in these 3 areas will help you to remain steady, balanced and content. Please join us and experience your true nature and sense of well-being. All levels welcome.

Restorative Yoga is a gentle, deeply relaxing practice ideal for recovery from injury or illness, stress reduction, to compliment an active practice, or to simply renew the mind, body and spirit. In this transforming practice you will learn how to slow down and work deeply within yourself to bring you back to your natural state of being calm and content. We will use simple breathing and concentration tools to assist you in restoring and letting go in the asanas. This class is assist you in learning how to regain your power to maintain vitality and good health, which are so extremely important. A restorative class will enhance your current yoga practice or any physical disciplines you currently do. All levels welcome.

Yoga Philosophy for Beginners

You may know that yoga encompasses far more than the physical poses (asanas). This course offers an accessible exploration of the “whys” behind the 8 limbs of yoga: yama and niyama, asana, pranayama, and meditation (dharana, dhyana, and samadhi). Join us for an in-depth look at the core principles that underlie the ancient tradition of yoga. This series of four one-hour classes will explore two key texts of Vedic philosophy: Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras and The Bhagavad Gita. Each session will include instructor presentation and opportunities for discussion/Q&A. It is recommended that you attend all 4 sessions, but you will benefit from individual sessions as well.

  • Series: $50 (includes all 4 sessions)
  • Per class: $15

Instructor: Maria Pramaggiore (RYT-500, ERYT-200) studied at the NC School of Yoga and has taught yoga and meditation to students of all ages and abilities for more than 12 years in the US and Europe. Credits will expire 6 months after they are issued. In the unlikely event that a class or workshop is cancelled by No Worries Just Breathe (Fit Diva Wellness, Inc.), you will receive a full refund.
